For the More Experienced Grower

When you've mastered the basics, you can try these plants that require a little more care but give fantastic harvests

Tomatoes

Harvest: 10-14 weeks

Requires more nutrients (higher EC), support for the stem and pollination (shake plants gently). But the taste of fresh hydroponic tomatoes is unbeatable!

💡 Tip: Choose cherry tomatoes for easier growing

Peppers & Chili

Harvest: 11-17 weeks

Loves heat and light. Needs support when fruits grow. Give them high EC and lots of light and you'll be rewarded with colorful fruits.

💡 Tip: Chili is often easier than peppers for beginners

Cucumber

Harvest: 8-11 weeks

Grows large and needs lots of space and support for vines. Requires even watering and high EC. Perfect for NFT systems with plenty of space.

💡 Tip: Choose mini cucumber or snacking cucumber for smaller systems

Strawberries

Harvest: 13-17 weeks (established earlier)

Requires patience and right temperature, but hydroponic strawberries are incredibly sweet! Need pollination with brush and lots of light for best results.

💡 Tip: Perfect for vertical growing systems
